Meterbeheer HUB is live!
The first version of Meterbeheer HUB is live.
What does this mean?
What is HUB?
Meterbeheer HUB is the Dutch data hub for energy data. To bring in the energy data from smart meters, solar panels and charging station systems throughout the Netherlands (and beyond), links are needed with dozens of different APIs. Each API has its own specification and dataset.
HUB features these links. A smart meter, solar panel or charging station system is registered and HUB makes the connection. The measurement data from the different types of systems is retrieved and standardized into one dataset.
For developers, this means:
- No high development and management costs for setting up and maintaining the APIs
- One standard dataset for all types of connections for easy implementation.
- Low fixed cost per connection.
- Connection are terminable annually.
Access to all Dutch (and soon also foreign) energy data through one efficient API. That is Meterbeheer HUB.
Who is HUB for?
Meterbeheer HUB was developed for all parties that (want to) work with energy data from smart meters, solar panels and charging stations and want to link this data directly to their platform.

How does HUB work?
The first version of HUB provides customers with meter data by unique URL. Future versions will allow customers to self-report meters via an online dashboard.
1. You register a meter with HUB.
2. You will receive the unique link from HUB via the JSON API.
3. HUB retrieves the measurement data from the measurement service.
4. HUB makes the measurement data available through the URL.
First measurement service added
The first API link that has been realized is with Kenter. Other metering services and suppliers of solar panels or charging stations will be added in the coming period
The following measurement services will be added to HUB in the coming period.
