Smart Meter Check
Check within minutes whether a connection has a working smart meter with the Meterbeheer Smart Meter Check.
Enter the EAN and the meter number and receive a report with all the information about the present (smart) meter.
Does it concern a small consumption connection? Then you will also receive the available historical consumption in a CSV file within 24 hours.
Smart Meter Check
Based on the meter number and EAN code, Meterbeheer collects all available information about the connection. A report is generated that lists the following characteristics of a connection:
- Is it a small- or large-consumption connection?
- Does the connection have a smart meter?
- Did the owner agree to read the meter remotely?
- On what date was the current meter installed?
- To what date does the historical data go back?

Is the smart meter working properly?
Is there a smart meter present and is this meter capable of retrieving metering data?

ID via meter number
Through the meter number and EAN code, Meterbeheer generates a status report.
Historical energy consumption (small consumption)
For small consumption connections, historical consumption data is retrieved. This data is available as a CSV file. By default, the grid operator makes the data available as follows:
- From the past 10 days at quarter-hourly (electricity) or hourly (gas) levels.
- From the past 10 to 40 days at the daily level.
- From the past 13 months on a monthly basis.
If there has been a change of tenure within this period, the historical measurement data is available from the effective date of the current agreement.
An EAN and the meter number are sufficient to retrieve historical energy consumption.

Historical measurement data
for small consumption, all available historical metering data is retrieved.

Email data
Within 24 hours, the historical energy consumption will be sent as a CSV file.
Request a Smart Meter Check
Interested? Enter a meter number and corresponding EAN code and you will receive a Smart Meter Check including historical measurement data of an existing connection free of charge.
How does a Smart Meter Check work?

1. Enter the EAN code and meter number.
The meter number on the smart meter and the EAN code is entered on the Meterbeheer dashboard.
2. Meterbeheer retrieves the connection characteristics.
Meterbeheer requests smart meter characteristics from the grid operators. For small consumption connection, available historical data is retrieved.

3. Meterbeheer generates a report and CSV file.
Meterbeheer generates a report(example) with all the features of the smart meter. The historical data is made available overnight by the grid operators. Meterbeheer generates a CSV file with the measurement data and makes it available the next day.
You will be notified by email when the report and CSV file is ready.
Request a test report
Enter the EAN code of the connection and the meter number on the form and you will receive the status report and, if it is a small consumption connection, the historical data of the connection.
